Video and data projection
Problem:
A fairly symmetrical yellow (or other color) area is
appearing in the center of the image of my projector. It seems to slowly be increasing
in size over time.
Solution:
Stop using the projector immediately! This is an indication
that one of the polarizing filters in the projector has been burned in the center.
If you continue to use the projector this way, eventually the LCD panel itself will
be burned. Polarizing filters are drastically less expensive that LCD panels. Send
the projector in for service as soon as possible to prevent a much more expensive
repair bill.
